What’s even more impressive is the most of them are absolutely free to attend where you merely need a lift pass to get to the resort where the festival is taking place. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the best snowboard and ski festivals for 2019.

Rock the Pistes

With more than 50 concerts, 28,000 people, touring over two countries, the Rock the Pistes week-long festival occurs across the entire ski area of Portes du Soleil on the Swiss-French border where events occur in a different resort every single day. You only need a lift pass to see the concerts as all of them are free. You can enjoy five gigs a day followed by concerts at the foot of the slopes.

Caprices

This electronica festival will celebrate its 16th anniversary in 2019 and will once again introduce visual and audio technology at the Moon stage during the evening to ensure partygoers get an experience like no other. The line-up of artists includes Black Coffee, Seth Troxler, Peggy Gou, Jamie Jones, Raresh, and Giorgio Mailini to mention but a few. The festival usually occurs in April and takes place at the Swiss Alpine resort situated in Crans-Montana.

Snowboxx

Snowboxx will make its return to the popular Avoriaz resort in France for its fourth year. The festival that lasts a week combined DJ sets and main stage concerts from headliners including Craig David, Wilkinson, Jax Jones, and Rudimental. The festival will take place from 23 March 2019 until 30 March 2019 and will set you back £255.

The Brits

For over 25 years, this extravagant bash that lasts a week manages to attract thousands of snowboard and ski fanatics, from experts to beginners, for seven days of insane partying, competitions, and snow. The Brits plays host to the annual British Freeski and Snowboard championship as well as the best skiers and riders the UK has to offer. The festival usually occurs in early April and will cost a mere £20 to gain access to the resort.

Snowbombing

Snowbombing provides a week’s worth of insanity with international bands and DJ’s. You can spend your days enjoying music on the slopes across six different mountain venues. During the evenings, you can expect innovative performances from world-renowned acts in gigantic outdoor arenas, forests, and igloos. Previous years has seen performances by Liam Gallagher, Dizzee Rascal, Pendulum, and Groove Armada to mention but a few. The festival takes place in Mayrhofer, Austria between 9 April and 14 April and you can get access to the festival for only £289.

Musilac

This rock and pop festival occurs every summer at Chamonix which is situated in France and includes a phenomenal line-up of artists in the mountains. This is essentially a three day event which will only set you back £117.
