Ubisoft Forward 2020 Announced

Multiple gaming expositions were cancelled in 2020 amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic. Social distancing measures enforced by global governments forced these respective Expos to terminate their venues, including the most notable in America, E3 2020. This prompted corporations like Electronic Arts and Ubisoft to create their digital events. It’s simpler than abiding the protocols associated with E3s digital venue. Ubisoft Forward 2020 will be similar in its format to the conventional E3 Expo, allowing gamers to receive insight into new titles coming for next-generation consoles.

The Ubisoft Corporation announced that “Ubisoft Forward” will launch on July 12th at 3 PM Easter-Standard. This is considerably later than most digital events being held in response to the coronavirus. It’s lead analysts to believe that Ubisoft Forward will be adult-oriented, which would follow suit with they recently announced Assassins Creed Valhalla. Multiple other titles are speculated to be confirmed at this digital venue, with coming weeks to months later. Except for the majority of Ubisoft titles to be released towards this Holiday Season, which would follow in conjunction with the releases of the PS4 and Xbox Series X.

The title that’ll receive extensive coverage at Ubisoft Forward 2020 is Assassins Creed Valhalla, which will be their most influential title in recent years. Fans have accepted the release of this game and begun speculating towards other titles that could be announced under the Ubisoft branding. Supporters behind Ubisoft have requested new entries into the Prince of Persia, and Splinter Cell franchises. It’s more likely that updated announcements will be released for Tom Clancy and Far Cry, with those being the two additional franchises that receive regular instalments under Ubisoft. There’ll also be news on the upcoming Watch Dogs Three. Most would agree that the most prominent announcement would be reviving Prince of Persia, ultimately connecting it with the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

The Competition

Ubisoft will have considerable competition throughout 2020. Multiple studios are releasing notable games, like Naughty Dog’s “The Last of Us Two”. This is slated to be the most popular game in 2020 and could see Ubisoft’s newest Assassins Creed overlooked. This could apply to any of their updated franchise in 2020. Regardless of stiff competitions, Ubisoft is prepared for the fight and to move forward.
